Local real estate boutique Real Joy Properties is celebrating this weekend and wants the public to come join
them during The Best of the Emerald Coast event at Grand Boulevard Oct. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m.
“We would like to invite everyone to come out and meet us,” said Owner and Realtor Jodi Ketchersid. “We are
going to have a booth and are giving away a three-night stay in a beachfront condo by Real Joy vacation rental
property and some Big Kahunas tickets for next summer season.”
The celebration comes on the heels of back-to-back Finest on the Emerald Coast wins, and the first ever Best of
the Emerald Coast win for the company. All three awards are customer-driven, meaning the company has pulled
ahead of others in this region according to their service and reputation in the community.
“What makes us different than everyone else is we have been around for a decade, and all of our agents are
seasoned agents,” Ketchersid said on why Real Joy Properties took the win. “We focus on marketing our properties
and not marketing ourselves, 90-percent of our business is referrals from customers to new clients.
Another feature that sets Real Joy Properties apart is the fact that Owners Jodi and Bill Ketchersid and the
company’s Broker Karen Ward all hold law degrees.
However, even with such high qualifications Ketchersid said of higher value in her mind is the fact that her tight-
knit group of 12 agents works hard to serve their clients needs without making the process feel like a sales pitch.
“We specialize in memories,” said Buyers Agent Trisha Henri. “Our slogan is, ‘Where the joy of ownership is
real,’ and we really do become friends with people, it’s not a transaction.”
Ketchersid added that as a working mother of five she knows the importance of family values in both her clients
and the workplace.
“My passion is really in homes and family properties,” said Ketchersid. “We focus on family-oriented work
atmosphere; We all live here and work here so we know the area and are always looking to point our customers to
the best properties.”
